It all started when my mom and grandma took me to see Pacific Northwest Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at age four. From there my parents enrolled me in dance classes because I couldn’t stop “spinning and saut de chating” around the house.
Once I hit high school, I started assisting classes and conventions, which gave me the opportunity to take so many different classes from various teacher’s and their style. Then, my studio let me start to TA beginner classes. Eventually, I was able to teach my own classes around 16 and have loved it since.
After attending Oklahoma City University, my love for dance and teaching has blossomed immensely. Not only do I get to dance, but I am able to learn about the performing and the management side in a production. Additionally my knowledge surrounding teaching is always growing with pedagogy and dance history classes!
